Pay to Play — the Small Business Edition

It’s that beautiful time of year again, where small business owners everywhere start whispering words like quarterlies, deductions, and why did I choose self-employment again?

Finally getting this dreaded job finished.....

Truth is — when you own a small business, you don’t just make the money… you also have to send it right back out. Paying in on taxes (a.k.a. “pay to play”) isn’t exactly fun, but it’s part of keeping the doors open, the goats fed, and the soap molds filled

Here’s the silver lining

When you stay on top of things all year — track your supplies, mileage, equipment, farm feed, and even that new label printer — tax time gets a lot less scary. And yes, your accountant will love you for it.

So while I’d rather be pouring soap than crunching numbers… today’s reminder is simple:

Pay to play — and plan to stay.
