Love you forever -

Sometimes I go quiet on social media.
Not because there's nothing happening—but because some parts of farm life are hard to put into words.
This week we lost one of our girls. She had been with us since the very beginning, helping build this little farm one season at a time. It's a loss that's been sitting heavy on my heart.
People often see the cute pictures, the baby goats, and the funny moments (and trust me... these goats provide plenty of those! 🐐). Around here, I joke that they're the real CEOs—I just work for them.
But with the privilege of caring for livestock comes the responsibility of making the hardest decisions, too. Those are the moments that don't make the highlight reel. They're the ones that stay with you long after the barn is quiet.
I've always believed these animals don't belong to me as much as I belong to this life with them. I'm deeply humbled that, for a little while, they let me share their world.
So if I've been a little quieter than usual, that's why.
Tomorrow the chores will still need doing. The hay still needs hauling. The rest of the herd still needs breakfast, fresh water, and a scratch behind the ears.
That's farm life. It is equal parts joy and heartbreak. And somehow, even on the hardest days, I wouldn't trade it.
To our sweet old girl... thank you for everything. You helped build more than a herd. You helped build a dream. ❤️
I'll love you forever, Ladybug - she is 9 and a half and had twins in March - the last two days, the 3 of us have eaten a lot of watermelon - together 💔
