**DOES IT MATTER WHAT YOUR SOAP IS MADE FROM?**

But like every bar, there is a story.....

**Lard is there because that's where my roots are.** Lard has been part of homesteading and soapmaking for generations. We raise pigs here on the farm too. We don't render our own lard — I buy it from a supplier — but the connection is still important to me.

And lard makes a **wonderfully creamy, conditioning bar** of soap with a rich, gentle lather.

**Olive oil** brings a different quality. It's known for making a **mild, moisturizing bar** with a soft, silky feel.

And **coconut oil**? That's the workhorse. It helps create the **big, bubbly lather and cleansing power** that we expect from a good bar of soap.

Then there's **goat milk**, of course — straight from our dairy goats.

None of these ingredients alone makes the soap. It's how they work together, in the right proportions, that makes the bar.

So, does it matter what your soap is made from?

**Maybe not when you first pick up the bar. But I think it matters when you know the story behind it.**

Because around here, even the ingredients have roots.
