Oh the joys of heat, sun, afternoon naps and seeing things grow!
How I appreciate it all. While we milk twice a day, pass hay 3 times per day, double check on kids and waterers at least 4 times per day. One must remain very flexible, things can change in an instant. The skies can burst with rain really anytime after 2pm...even a 10 min shower...can be a pest….And while we go back to mowing and feeding..The day to day of Summer...is just that...We become accustomed to heat and humidity..changing our socks multiple times per day to soak our tired, sore and swollen feet in epsom salt..Every year these animals teach us something new..Endurance….
We have learned their language and appreciate the care involved...While we keep them healthy..they are keeping us Young, active, full of energy..As we will fill our plates with pastured eggs, pork, chevon, garden veggies and Raw milk! Our care turns into high quality nutrition!
